Flying Car flies from London to Africa

February 26th, 2009

For many, a flying car is just a dream. It may not be exactly what people have envisioned or tried over the years, such as the flying car in Bladerunner, or the previously reported Terrafugia Transition. But now for the Parajet Skycar Expedition Team it is now a reality.

Boasting the world first bio fueled flying car, the  “car” is a road legal, high performance rally car that can perform on or off road. The “Plane” is read to go in about 3 minutes of wing preperation, made possible by the new flexi wing technology.  The “car’s” parawing is so flexible it can fit into the boot of the car assisted by the pilot only.

The Parajet Skycar expedition team has left from London, England, on 14 January 2009, and will travel through France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Mali to Tombouctou, returning home via Senegal.   To find out more on the skycars travel visit Skycar’s News Site
