If you were looking for proof that the line between smartphones and laptops is rapidly starting to blur, look no further — Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasuvo told Reuters today that the Finnish company is “looking very actively” at making a laptop, since “what we we know as a cellphone and what we know as a PC are in many ways converging.”
There are many in the market who are very “brand loyal” to Nokia in terms of their phones, but will this loyalty stand when it comes to their home computer?

For many, a flying car is just a dream. It may not be exactly what people have envisioned or tried over the years, such as the flying car in Bladerunner, or the previously reported Terrafugia Transition. But now for the Parajet Skycar Expedition Team it is now a reality.
Boasting the world first bio fueled flying car, the “car” is a road legal, high performance rally car that can perform on or off road. The “Plane” is read to go in about 3 minutes of wing preperation, made possible by the new flexi wing technology. The “car’s” parawing is so flexible it can fit into the boot of the car assisted by the pilot only.
The Parajet Skycar expedition team has left from London, England, on 14 January 2009, and will travel through France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Mali to Tombouctou, returning home via Senegal. To find out more on the skycars travel visit Skycar’s News Site

STARING AT THE CEILING gets a whole new meaning with 3M ’s MPro110 handheld projector. Admit it - there’s not a single thing on this planet you want more than a pocket sized projector. You want the freedom to broadcast your porn collection powerpoint presentations to the world whether they’re interested or not via the wonders of a low resolution low powered portable device. Well, 3M knows this, and are releasing the MPro110 in Australia for the paltry asking price of $649!
Gizmodo loved pretty much everything about this except the build quality when they reviewed it back in November. And although somehow I strongly doubt that particular issue has been rectified specifically for the Australian release, for those of you who are desperate for the joys of portable projection, this looks like a pretty good place to start.
